Recordly is a free, open-source cross-platform screen recorder (macOS/Windows/Linux) aimed at polished product demos. It emphasizes an editing workflow in one tool: automatic zooms, smooth cursor/motion effects, backgrounds, annotations, speed controls, timeline-based drag-and-drop editing, and project save/load via .recordly files. Best fit if you want Screen Studio–style output without a paid lock-in and you’re comfortable with early-stage OSS tradeoffs (the site explicitly says to expect bugs).
